Q-Code 76, Red CPU led & Flashing PCIe 4?

I've been running fine for months. CPU is under water and clocked to 4.3Ghz.
(tested Prime stable)

This morning, all of a sudden I can't boot and see this:
Q-Code 76, Red CPU led & Flashing PCIe 4
(I only have a card in PCIe 1)

I can't even get to the BIOS.
The red safe mode button halts at the same spot.
Whats the importance of the flashing PCIe 4?....

Any ideas on what to do?
I'd go into the bios to underclock it if I could... (in case that is the reason).
(I also have Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) CMK32GX4M4A2666C16)

you tried flipping the switch to turn off that slot, and a bios reset via the button on the I/O plate round the back?

Clear your CMOS using the button at the back. Then see if your system will post.

Ok, I didn't know there was a clear CMOS. I tried that and now can get to the bios.

Grrrr. It runs fine for days at 4.2Ghz w/2 GTX980's, but this morning... back to the stuck on Q-Code 76, Red CPU led & Flashing PCIe 4... 😞
Guess i will have to reset CMOS and start over (again).
EDIT: Any idea what specifically might be causing this? Something not tuned right in my overclock?

After CMOS reset, I can get to the BIOS. I change only HDD Controller from ACHI to RAID, save then reboot. I then get Code 79 & VGA LED is on. I am beginning to hate this board.

Ok, I am beginning to think the BIOS is corrupt. Because if I wait a few minutes, the PC will boot.
I think I am suffering from:

I am on Bios 2. The Bios Switch button does nothing. The 'Forced BIOS1 to boot' option in the Bios reboots the PC, but I boot back into Bios 2.
How do I get to Bios 1?

I would run the system at stock defaults to rule out the possibility of an unstable overclocker.

I would also reseat the GPUs as a safety measure. Loosen the screws for your heatsink as well.

On a sidenote. You can switch between BIOSes using the small, red button on the bottom right of the motherboard. Make sure you're running the latest BIOS.

Hello, I will share my method, maybe it will help others in the future.
In my case, the boot stopped at code 76 regardless of what memory I put on the board and which slot I put the graphics card in (everything else was disconnected) and it was a case similar to here, i.e. one pcie-4 LED was flashing (with pcie 1 is off and 2 and 3 are on constantly) and the CPU LED is on constantly

The board has 2 BIOSes with a switch, I reprogrammed both of them and changed the location of the cubes (I programmed using FlashBack not a programmer) but still the same.

I had two situations where the on-board test display changed codes and I tried to reproduce it.

I finally succeeded when I started changing the power supply and connected the processor power section in a different order. Only when I connected one half of the 4pin EATX12V_1 connector (this is EPS 8pin), which was closer to the additional EATX12V_2 connector, the motherboard has started up with the bios update screen. After 2 restarts it got to the bios settings.

I was actually surprised that the board started with incomplete power  connected.
I thought it was a problem with the power supply section, but it turned out that I could connect all EATX12V to the processor section and everything is working fine now.
The problem is still in BIOS 2, so the chip may be defective, but one is enough for me because it is not used for overclocking=]
