Hi all Q Please Help me out on this Thanks. 🙂
I am useing my 4x Fans Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm on Corsair h100i cooler the CPU.
But i what to put tham on my Asus Rampage V Extreme x99 - CPU Fan pin and CPU Opt pin so i can use the asus Fan Control.
What Safe way for useing Fans Splitter Y-Cables to use for my Asus Rampage V Extreme x99 Motherboard So i do not kill my x99 Motherboard

1. ( Noctua NA-SYC1 4-Pin PWM Fan Y-Cables, 2 pack ) - for 1 NA-SYC1 Cable for CPU Fan pin and the NA-SYC1 Cable Two for CPU Opt pin.

2. ( EK-Cable Splitter 4-Fan PWM Extended ) - EK-Cable Splitter 4-Fan PWM - in the CPU Fan pin.

The fan headers on the Rampage V Extreme are rated for 1A. As long as the sum of all your fans that you are planning to connect does not exceed this limit, you'll be fine. The CPU_OPT header mirrors the CPU_FAN header. That means that whichever setting you choose for the CPU_FAN header will be carried over to the CPU_OPT header.

I use several powered fan splitters on the motherboard headers. Get a powered splitter if your fans exceed the limit. The fans will still be controlled by the fan control in the BIOS. It works great. I have 12 fans which are the same as yours and it is deathly quiet at idle.

I have 3 Noctua 120mm PWM on one header, the PWM pump on it's twin, this is taking the power via a molex as it is 18w.

So all good and safe to do, make sure you use reducers after the splitters or you may damage the reducer if you decide to use them.

I imported a 5 pin to 2x4 pin to allow me to use the Strix980 to control the pump and rad as well, I bought an additional sata powered PWM splitter to save me running the risk of blowing the header on the 980 as I didn't know the max rated power.

Plenty of options out there.

I just populated my eight fans (2 CPU, 1 rear, 2 front, 3 top) onto the mobo's eight fan headers, stuck the thermal probes where needed, and configured the BIOS fan profiles.

Not as elegant, a few extra cable ties were needed. But I didn't see any need to waste mobo-integrated hardware while buying more of the same hardware.

and the 2nd cable in CPU-OPT pin - It has been runing 100% ok
