PWM ek pump

I have installed an ek x360 kit my question is the pump is a pwm pump. I have the pump connected to the cpu -fan connector and a molex and the 3 fans connected with a splitter into cpu-opt. Is it safe to let fan expet adjust the rpm on this pump or do I need tto run it on full. . My system says temp is 29 c and the rpm's are 1380 to 1410 at idle.
This is a new build I finished yesterday. (RVE with 5930). My concern is Fan expert is adjusting all the fans including the case fans in this 900d. The pump rpm is being treated like a fan. IS this correct?

Hello Aimbot59

That's correct, a pwm pump can be configured to ramp up or down according to the temperature or you can run the pump at 100%, it's your choice.

I guess you are talking about a DDC pump right?
While you _can_ control the pump via pwm I experienced that pwm in general is sh** on the DDC pumps...
So don't expect much controllable range, and also the accuracy tends to drift heavily over time.
Other than that it's a really good pump though - if just pwm was a little bit better.

^^ I did the opposite lol. Well, a custom loop, but opposite philosophy for me. Figured no flow is worse than no fans.

But either way, the point is that yes you 100% can control a pwm pump from any of the 8 motherboard pwm fan connections.
