I thought i'd post this here just incase it's a board issue rather than an Nvidia Driver issue.
I've used many Nvidia drivers and it seems to do it on occasions when disabling 4-Way SLI, and it'll shutdown the PC. It'll then try and repost causing a Qcode 00 and shuts off (possibly cannot find console as I have 3 monitors connected), then it finally boots with "Overclocking Failed". Although this is a normal message to expect from essentially a hard reset. When I get back into Windows the NCP menus have all gone except for just Setup G-Sync. I also lose the menu's in NCP when physically adding a 4th GPU, adding the 2nd and 3rd card doesn't cause the driver to fall over and simply has the "Your SLI configuration has changed" and you click on Update normally.
Running GPU-Z it shows that SLI is still on also, the only way to resolve the NCP is to re-install the drivers. I might add this only seems to occur with 4-way SLI and have tried various bridges. This is bizarre, as the system is faultless any other time.
Why would the PC shut off when Disabling 4-Way SLI?
