No signal unless GPU is on PCI-E Slot 1

Hello,

As the title says, is it possible to boot with a single GPU from PCI-E Slot 2 or 3? Currently, I receive no signal from any other Slot but 1.

Simple thing to check is whether the PCI lane switches are all in the on position. Top right on the board.

All lane switches are active, should I disable the ones I do not use?

I would probably leave them enabled.

Seems like I saw something about people using PCIe lane 2 due to oversized CPU coolers, but I can't remember exactly.

All lanes work properly, I had SLI and a PhysX card before that. The only problem is when I use a single card on any other slot than the first one - I get no signal if I do that.

Disable the lanes above the slot you have your GPU inserted , If your card is in slot 2, disable slot 1, if it is in slot 3, disable 1 and 2, at least that is how it works if you have multiple GPU's and are testing them seperatly

Menthol, I had cards on SLi, I don't currently. I mentioned this to indicate that all lanes are functional. Should I try to shut off the lanes before the lane my card is installed on?

Yes, I could be wrong but I believe your Vid card has to be in top slot, disable slot 1 and slot 2 becomes first slot
