I have two SM961 256gb drives running in RAID 0 as my gaming drive. They are quite speedy.
I posted my results in running 1, 2 and 3 of these. Running 3 in RAID 0 was actually slower than RAID with 2 for the most part. I posted the results here:

https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/634787-samsung-961-benchmarks-1-2-x-raid-0-3x-raid-0/?page=1

Overall I really like them, tho I have heard that they could use a firmware update. Hopefully Lenovo or HP will come up with one like they did with the AHCI sm951.

Pretty good results. Big improvement from the SM951. Just hope they launch a retail version soon (i.e 960 Pro). I want RAPID working this time and the option of getting firmware updates if need be. 🙂

I got a 950Pro NVME M2 512GB and its noticeably faster than the Samsung 840 EVO 256GB I have.

When comparing these drives, wouldn't the motherboard controlling them make a difference to the benchmarks achieved?
(Not sure, thus the question)

Is this a sign the 960 pro is coming out soon?

It points to the 950 page, but maybe they're prepping the page for the release?

OMG there it is! 🙂 Is real! I'm pretty sure we'll have a retail 960 Pro, and for those of us with the SM961 we'll get a newer NVM Express driver, which will help improve performance.

I want my drives as soon as possible.
It would be nice to Samsung launch 960 PRO NOW.
21 June they write 960 PRO and 960 EVO will arrive soon.
What will be 960 EVO, SSD SATA III?

For me price is very important factor as well.
Price of 950 PRO 512GB or SM961 512GB same as 850 EVO 1TB are fine for me, 850 PRO 1TB is to expensive and I don't need him.
I plan to pay as they cost. It would be nice if price of 960 PRO and 960 EVO are similar.
