Just letting you know it works like a champ, stuck it in the bottom pcie slot, put the driver on a usb stick as I installed Win 7 so I needed to install the driver during installation, install went kind of slow but without any issue on bios 1401. It also came with a back plate on it un-like the models seen in the reviews so it looks better not seeing the components on the back of the card

Hey,

If you were going to buy that drive, wait for the Samsung 950 Pro. It is better in many ways. From the Tomhardware's review i chose to wait for samsung. It was pretty obvious.

The only concern I had for the Samsung drive was the heat. I am getting enough air flow in my case to cool the 750, but thermal throttling I think is a possibility with the 950 pro.

And I think I saw a video from youtube showing how those M2s heat up. It was using thermal IR video I believe.

Yes, I have read about the Samsung's throttling themselves as they get warmer (they better make water blocks for them, then!) on this very forum. I have the Intel 750 Series 400GB add-in card so I am currently out of the running for a Samsung 950 Pro.

Something must be up with the Intel 750 Series, like they see a problem with it that people are not going to like. In one month, the 1.2TB has gone down $150 in price and I just saw on the egg that the 400GB will be selling for $50 less, from 1PM-12AM PT today, than I got it for just one month ago.

Going down 14 percent in price in one month means something. . .. (Could it just be that Samsung is hot on their heels?)

as long as you have decent airflow in your case you shouldn't see any throttling on a Samsung drive under any normal use, the price of the Intel drives are bound to come down with the release of the 950 pro, we are seeing big advancements in storage and will start seeing more new high speed drives and higher capacities come to market I am looking forward to not having any mechanical drives in my systems

Maybe one of these days when Ray Kurzweil's (computer) Singularity comes into being, we can have intelligent opposing storage where they compete with one another to see which one will win each computing session of making computations for us. . ..

Of course by that time I hope to be physically and mentally integrated with artificial intelligence. Transhumanism is the big buzz on Harvard's college campus right now: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transhumanism
