I like to know what Asus Rampage V Extreme (X99) - PCI-E 3.0 slot i use to get m.2 working at max speed on the Angelbird Wings PX1 M.2 Adapter Card PCI-E
I like to keep my Asus Strix GTX 980 Ti GPU speed at PCI-E 3.0 x16
My CPU is an Intel Core i7 5930K

i am geting this Samsung SM961 Polaris 1TB M.2-2880 PCI-e 3.0 x4 NVMe Solid State Drive.

am i missing something or wouldnt it be easier to put it into the m.2 slot on the board unless you are already using it?

I like to keep the M.2 SSD Temperature 🙂 down that is why RxL-Soul.

As Chino said if you are only going to use one Video card, any of the pcie #.0x16 slots, the bottom pcie 3.0X16 slot shares lane with the M.2 slot, if you are going to use more than one Video card the bottom slot is prefered
