BT reception weak or no reception and my light bulb.

So i was trying to connect a Wii mote to my computer and for the life of me it wouldn't detect it, it only detected it if I brought it up close to the case. Even when I did that it would detect it momentarily. After about 2 hours of scratching my head finally a light bulb went off... "aren't most BT signals piggy backed on to the Wifi." I looked in the manual and surely enough the wifi and bt share the same IC. As soon as I connected the Wifi adapter that came with the board the PC was able to detect all the bt devices I tried previously, phone, keyboard, and the wii mote.

Thought I would post and tag so the next person that is looking for this solution knows what to do.
I assume this applies to all Formula, Maximus, and Rampage boards with a wifi antenna, more than likely your Bluetooth is piggy backed on that antenna and you need to plug it in to get better reception.

Enjoy.

Thanks very much for posting....did not even think about this.
On another note, does one have to have the WiFi enabled in the BIOS also for BT to work?

Thankyou

No, no need to have WiFi enabled for Bluetooth to work
