Bluetooth not working on Rampage V Edition 10

I've tried updating the driver software, installing and reinstalling:

Bluetooth Driver Package V12.0.1.650 (DriverVersion 12.0.1.653) for Windows 10 64bit.(WHQL)

to no avail. The strange thing is that the Bluetooth can sometimes detect a device, but it pops up as Unknown and is unable to ever pair with the device.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem, or have any suggested fixes?

It sounds like you were using bluetooth before you plugged your antennae in, which means you had to have a dongle or something to use it. I would be interested in knowing if you can uplug that dongle and use only the antennae to find your bluetooth.

Try unplugging your dongle, use only the antennae and restart the computer and see if you can detect it.

Well Chino, I don't know if you just got a great pick of the wireless receiver, are lucky or what. I tried two antennaes here and simply put, it doesn't work and hasn't since the Anniversary update. I have tried the Asus drivers, Broadcomm drivers and a few others. Wifi works perfectly. Bluetooth nope. Phone, controller and our sony speaker doesn't get picked up. Reinstalls, older/newer drives...it doesn't matter. It doesn't work. What did work... installing win 8.1!! I did that on an SSD that I had lying around.

BIOS updated. New windows install. Bluetooth still down...Kinda crappy for a premium product. Bought bluetooth adapter for $10...not worth hassle to RMA.

If it makes anyone feel better the ****ty bluetooth chip doesn't work on Linux either. Thanks for providing another great product, ASUS.

Unplug power. Hold power button down on PC case for a couple of minutes. Plug power back on, power up PC, look at device manager. Unknown device now has a name and you can install a driver.

The latest bluetooth driver for the Broadcom chipset on the R5E Edition 10 is 12.0.1.921. Just saying. Using the driver on ASUS' site is not better. They aren't chosen by ASUS as the "best" drivers. ASUS just rather quickly stops updating their motherboard support lists with newer drivers. The latest Wifi driver for the same Broadcom chipset is 7.35.338.0 - I'd recommend that you use both of those for the best results.

I'm using v12.0.1.1011 (v12.0.1.1012 doesn't install on my side, this is the latest) with my Asus Rampage V Edition 10 on Win10. But without the antenna, Bluetooth won't work at all. After plugging in the antenna, I could connect my PS4 pad (incl. DS4Windows) via Bluetooth. But I need to search for the device myself after activating pairing on the pad. In the Win10 Bluetooth settings, I need to add the gamepad. After connecting it via cable, I need to delete the Bluetooth entry, if I want to connect it via BT again (need to search for it once again). But this could be a Win10 problem. There's simply no message or option to reconnect via BT once disconnected or at least I don't see any. ^^
