BIOS 1801 Issue after update

I updated my BIOS from 1502 to 1801. I ran into multiple issues, my GPU died (not sure if it's connected, but odd). Then i noticed a weird RAM issue (not sure if it's normal as i don't recall how it was before the update). Here is a picture of what the RAM is like: http://i.imgur.com/JTTetrS.png

As you can see by the pic, it shows up as "other" in windows and "unknown" in speccy. CPU-Z is able to read DDR4 perfectly fine, so can the mobo via BIOS. My question is now what is it supposed to show normally in that "other" and "unknown" column. I simply want to compare what it tells me with what it tells you guys, so i can figure it out. What i have tried so far is a whole brand new RAM kit (obviously a supported one), each dim separately, switched the BIOS to #2 , cleared CMOS, mem diagnostic went fine, still same result.

Also i don't know if this BIOS update had anything to do with voltage or messing with the CPU, but i somehow think it made the CPU a bit sluggish as i get initial lag in games now (could be unrelated, still testing things). I do not overclock it and am using only XMP profile for 2400MHZ (not shown in pic as i was testing things).

As i've mentioned CPU-Z shows it perfectly 100% fine. It could just be a windows fluke with the SPD profile reading, but i'm the type that wants a definite answer and it would be helpful if you mention what it says on your system for comparison :).

And don't even trust that cos this board will report ram there when its not detected and the boards dropped sticks out of bios.

Cards too, you see them in device manager but they aren't really there, so to speak and other lovely slot detection issues.

Just test your Memory make sure everything is happy.

As for your GPU try it in a different slot and check its being detected correctly in Bios.

deadlyfreak,
Welcome to the forums, to answer your question, YES, mine shows exactly the same as yours, your worrying about nothing, I also don't see how updating your motherboard bios could kill a video card

Good to know that it's normal and i'm over thinking it :). I just didn't recall how it was before the BIOS update, so i wanted to make sure. As for my GPU i already replaced it, as i have SLI 980 ti hybrids. The pump on one of them must have failed as it was 70c idle, then 90c+ load. Guess everything is back to normal. Thanks for letting me know about the ram inquiry i had.
