asus suite 3

Pleot
Level 9

Hello,

Just finished upgrading to windows 11 yesterday. I have a rampage V extreme mobo.

having trouble with asus suite 3 and I would like to install it since I use fan expert to control the fans and I like it.

Is it possible to install the suite in windows 11? It was working in windows 10 so it should be possible.

Is there the need to use a diferent install? use some utility to clean completely the migrated suite from win 10 and then install again?

I would appreciate very much help on this. and links to the software if possible

Thank you in advance

Paulo

The successor to a Rampage V Extreme would be the Rog Rampage VI Extreme, which could then accommodate Core X-Series CPUs. That would then be a maximum of the Core i9-10900X - i9-10940X or an i9-10980XE. But everything is already from 2019 and is already starting to show its age.

As far as I know, there are currently no other successors from Intel.

But due to the current problems at Intel with the 13th and 14th generation, I would not resort to that and would rather wait until the new ArrowLakes and new mainboard chips appear and wait for tests there before you update your hardware.

Maybe then there will be workstation boards like your Rampage V Extreme with 8 RAM sockets again.

If you don't want to wait, then take a look at AMD.

You got me doing some googling. You are right, this would be a good time for an upgrade now that gen 15 processors are coming out along with the new socket.

The Intel 15th Gen CPUs will use a new LGA 1851 socket , so ill wait a while.

Thank you for the heads up.

Out of interest is my assumption correct in that Armoury Crate does have: Dual Intelligent Processors 5, TPU, Turbo Core App, EPU, Fan Xpert 4, DIGI+ Power Control?

Basically, I wanted to find out if it replaced AI Suite's functions completely or is AI Suite still in use on new boards just updated??

Thanks

Only FanXpert4 is integrated into ArmouryCrate.

The components Dual Intelligent Processors 5, PU, Turbo Core App, EPU and DIGI+ Power Control are not. They are still included in the AiSuite3.

However, the Asus AI OC can be started from ArmouryCrate.

OK thanks for the reply much appreciated, as to FanXpert in ArmouryCrate do you have all the fan controls similar to AI Suite or is it just the 4 presets like i see too? I just wondered when I read that FanXpert being in ArmouryCrate whether it was the full module and options i.e. being able to set individual fan curves or whether its just the preset buttons like I see too (this I wouldn't call a full module though)??

Thanks again appreciate your time.

FanXpert has completely moved to ArmouryCrate, which is why it is also shown in AiSuite3 that FanXpert is in ArmouryCrate (see screenshot).

What I also noticed is that EPU is also in ArmouryCrate.
Under "Power Saving" (see screenshots).

As for FanXpert4, if you go to FanXpert in Armoury Crate, you can set a corresponding fan curve for each fan that is detected (see screenshots).

You should be able to find it based on my screenshots.

But I use Ai-Cooling and the system regulates everything with the fan curves. The heat source is CPU and CPU packet. You can set it accordingly. The exception is CPU, where only one heat source is possible.

PS:

I'm from Germany and so my screenshots are in German.😉

Thanks for your reply, you definitely seem to have more functionality than my omega x299, I've only ever had the 4 presets on the dashboard for fans. I sure don't see what you do so it confirms my assumptions, Armourycrates functionality is model generation dependant ie newer models getting the extra modules

What exactly do you see when you open FanXpert in ArmouryCrate?

What do you see when you open AiSuite3?

Please take screenshots so that we know exactly what you are seeing.

In addition, all of my fans are controlled directly via the motherboard and the fan connectors there. I don't use any controllers for this.

If you have FanXpert in AiSuite 3, then you can only set the fan curves there, otherwise AiSuite 3 and ArmouryCrate would interfere with each other.

You seem to be using the ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME OMEGA. The last AiSuite 3 there was v. 3.01.10 and Armoury Crate was added in February 2024.

The current AiSuite 3 v. 03.03.36, which no longer has FanXpert integrated, is also not displayed for your motherboard. Therefore, your views should differ from mine here.

Ive mentioned this before on here somewhere but AISUITE 3 is bit missleading with its lates installer, none of the modules have been removed it just doent mention them seperatly in the installer, my AISUITE 3 is still the same as its always been FANXPERT too.  As to my ArmouryCrate, I dont have any extra modules such as FANXPERT etc, all i see is the widgets with presets on the dashboard:

Then under the button below, its only the boards headers and OLED settings:
