6850K (Broadwell-E) new user question ...

Hi.

I've been experimenting with a BD-E chip (6850K) using the "The Broadwell-E Overclocking Guide" as my guide:

All running under a custom EK loop, two radiators.

I am pretty happy with the results so far. Running Adaptive CPU overclock with 1.34 Max. x45 on "favourite" core, x44 on the rest. Cache to x39.


I have a questions ...

Noting the section "CPU frequency expectations" where 20% of CPU's can hit 4.4GHz @ 1.38V.

Is 1.38V considered "OK" when using a custom w/c loop?

You could stay on under 1.4V with good cooling.
But on long term I would drop to 4.2GHz and 1.250V on your place.
Or stay at least within 1.300V and max 1.200V on Cache.
I mean for longer period.

Don't forget fix VCCSA & VCCIO voltages in range less than 1.2 V.
If VCCSA & VCCIO >= 1.3 V you have a chance get dead CPU (POST CODE 00) after some time using system.
