Yep I think the 2 DIMM boards are inherently more stable OOB.

8400MT seems the sweet spot for me with this RAM as well.Wondering whether to RMA it, and get another kit, or just keep it and accept this is what they ware.That said you might see new timings arrive via Mobo manufacturers which make it work.... who ...

I think this stuff will all be resolved, just need to wait for the next round of BIOS updates.
