I have the same issue and its not that I forgot the password, I swear that special characters were allowed when I entered the password but now they aren't. And it doesnt really stop you from using the laptop , its really just a minor pain in the ass ...

Did you happen to ever find a solution to this issue? I am currently having the same problem

You're a moderater on a message board not a cop, if you cant help the guy don't waste his or your time with a bull$hit response. SMH
