You are in better shape than I, my X670e-i only runs my RTX 4090 in PCIE Gen 3 x16 mode, even with NO SSDs installed. If I try to force it to Gen 4, it drops to 4x lanes of PCIE Gen 4.
For me there has been a night and day difference. Older BIOS revisions had stuttering and stuff while gaming. The new ones do not. I'm also able to push my RAM a bit further.
I am still getting rare random reboots when idle at stock settings on the X670e-i. This tends to happen when the system is awake (I have sleep disabled), but nothing is open. Thus far this has not happened when the machine is under load.
@Shamino thanks for the X670e-i BIOS. I flashed it this morning. Unsure what was changed, but latency and memory read/write speeds are much better than the original 0809 BIOS. I will have to play with it more later.
