Buying RAM certified at 3600Mhz is technically overclocking yes, but it is INCREDIBLY common for years now and complaints about it not working cannot be legitimately dismissed.
1usmus posted on Twitter that the Asus 1.2.0.0 beta BIOS releases are in beta because they didn't calibrate the VRMs yet. That could account for your weird temp behavior.
Running 1602 for several days now. Seems about the same as 1601, but I did not have the USB problems many here experienced. 1601 (and presumably AGESA 1.1.9.0) seems to have fixed my idle/near-idle WHEA reboots. Fingers crossed!
