You can go back versions with EZ Flash, at least with the .CAP files, I don't know about going back to the old .bin type bios.

If you are running 4102, go back to 4004... it is the PCH fan not spinning (cooling)... only takes out the system in various ways under load.

It's probably all related to the PCH fan not spinning (cooling), so under any loads all hell breaks loose. 

Just put the bios on a memory stick, or in fact, the ASUS software in the bios should be able to read it right off your harddrive. Use the Bios flash tool in the 4102 bios screen, you DO NOT need to use the asus dos flash tool.
