Are you using your own saved profile from memory stick etc.? If yes dont use after BIOS update. Manually set all settings to your likings after update. Takes time but always works.

I bought high end motherboard M8 Hero so I would like and hope that they bring these kind of hidden features via simple bios update now when its relevant tech next year. That would be good support for these expensive products.
Hmm got the same problem with previous MB but when pressing F8 when Asus logo appears I got boot menu and choosed UEFI or non-UEFI boot usb drive, cant remember but then it loaded USB boot device ok
