Seeing that cable mess has made me cringe!!Check the ROG_EXT cable, esp the connectors on both ends, sounds to me like there is a dodgy connection with the plugs on 1 end or poss both that causing your issue.

1st, what drivers are you running for gfx card?2nd, is the monitor set to extend or duplicate?3rd, are you running any desktop improvement software eg Display Fusion?
