Same Architecture , clock for clock they're identical, except 4790k will clock much higher on average. I belive average for 4790k is 4.7GHz, and 4770k is 4.5GHz...I would definitely go with a 4790k, no doubt. 4.4GHz out of the box vs 3.9.

Run, type in msconfig then under Boot, tick "safe boot".

What are the temps on the cpu when you run these tests? R15 score is really low. What frequency is the cpu running at. Did you try clearing cmos?

I raised the vccin to 1.87v and it was unstable for some reason at that voltage backed down to auto and its good. I'm only pushing 1.29vcore though.
