According to Asus' advertising, you can work with ASUS TUF A16 FA608 quiety without the fan starting up when you use the computer for normal things like web browsing, but instead they have made it only more annoying because of the fan that starts up at high speeds and shuts down completely every 2-3 minutes repeatedly, when surfing. (not even streaming/watching videos)
Example:
1.Running Armory Crate in Silent mode. Ordinary services running in windows background
2.IDLE temp 49-53°C. Fans are off
3.Start web browsing and after few minutes temp rise to 60-62°C.
4.Fan starts loud and shows speed 2600 rpm. (This is just like starting an engine in a car. Where first it is loud and after a sec sound is lower and stable.)
5.Temp drops to idle 49-53°C after 15-25-sec. Fans turns off.
6.Repeat
This is very noticeable and becomes annoying, a specially from complete silence to loud and happening repeatedly.
Running latest updates/drivers and even tried to reinstall them and Armory Crate as well.
Shouldn't these new Zen 5 AMD Ryzen HX370 be more efficient and produce less heat?!
At first I thought maybe this could be faulty device, but then tested another PC exact same model. This one was behaving exactly the same.
I don't know if this is an issue with Armory Crate config for Silent mode for this device or something with the AMD processer not working stable/balanced.
I hope that someone from ASUS will see this and maybe can release BIOS update or release a fix for Armory crate, without external intervention by consumers.
If there is any member here that have same laptop or same concern and somehow managed solve this, please share.
