So I have brought a laptop like 2 years ago, ASUS TUF A15 FA506IC, with this system configuration

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H

GPU: Nvidia RTX 3050 Laptop GPU (4GB GDDR6 VRAM)

RAM: 8GB
Screen RR: 144HZ

OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
Power Adapter: 180W

And for couple of months, I am getting this random freezes in games like Genshin Impact, Ghost Recon Wildlands.
The game, randomly freezes and automatically shuts down with no errors on the screen. Upon checking on the Event Viewer, I found this error,

"""

The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\Video7

Error occurred on GPUID: 100

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

"""

Upon countless hours of web searching, I have tried these fixes:

1) Windows Update (Did not work)

2) Graphics Driver Updated, rolled back multiple times (Did not work)

3) Cleaning my laptop, and changing thermal paste (Did not work)
4) Completely uninstalling and reinstalling gpu drivers using DDU (Did not work)
5) Lowered down my graphics driver version and installed the recommended version from ASUS website (Did not work)
6) Disabling Hardware acceleration (Did not work)

7) Changing power management (Did not work)
😎 Bios update (Already Up To Date)
9) RAM check for 8 hours straight using mentest86 (Did not find any issues)
10) Full OS installation (Did not work)
11) SFC scan (Did not find any issues)

12) DISM checks (Did not find any issues)

13) Stressed test my GPU using Furmark (Did not find any issues)

*Note: When I tried Benchmarking with Haven, I got the same crash.
14) Checked my temperatures of both my CPU and GPU for throttling (Below throttling threshold)

15) Checked my game files (Did not find any issues)
16) Under volting, underclocking my GPU using MSI Aferburner (Did not work)

17) Created a backup of my registry, and created a DWORD (32-bit) value at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers,

named the registry as TdrDelay and set the value to 20, but alas, the error is still there.

**Note: Many website claims, disabling overclock settings solved their problem, but I have not overclocked my CPU or GPU, so it is not an option for me. **

Please ASUS help me sove this problem. I am suffring from this problem for a wile now. I have previously played games like GTA-5 and FarCry-5 with no issues. I dont know what is causing this problem. Please Help

now iam really frustrated, even though i have every driver installed from manufacturer website,  disabled automatic driver updates, and paused windows updates for 8 weeks; windows is tryharding to push corrupted drivers to my laptop.👺

I panicked and force shutdown my pc and after restarting used a powershell command to temporarily disable windows update service(you can ask chatgpt for it) now iam manually installing latest nvidia gpu driver through geforce experience

It's all good now, it happens to be windows installing corrupted nvidia gpu driver during fresh install. Do what i did and hope that it get fixed. You have to make sure that you reinstall windows in offline mode and install all drivers from manufacturer website before connecting to internet. Then do windows updates.

Yeah I know, its very frustrating that windows try to install drivers without our permission. I will do the same thing, and hope for the best. Thanks for the suggesttions. I will let you know if it gets fixed.

What happened?

Hello, If you still have the issue, please try this: "Go to device manager > Firmware > System Firmware > Driver > Rollback driver." This fixed it for me. Before rollback driver version is 310 and after rollback it is still 310. Windows installs same firmware version even though bios is at latest version and it somehow corrupts something i guess
