So I have brought a laptop like 2 years ago, ASUS TUF A15 FA506IC, with this system configuration
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3050 Laptop GPU (4GB GDDR6 VRAM)
RAM: 8GB
Screen RR: 144HZ
OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
Power Adapter: 180W
And for couple of months, I am getting this random freezes in games like Genshin Impact, Ghost Recon Wildlands.
The game, randomly freezes and automatically shuts down with no errors on the screen. Upon checking on the Event Viewer, I found this error,
"""
The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\Video7
Error occurred on GPUID: 100
The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table
"""
Upon countless hours of web searching, I have tried these fixes:
1) Windows Update (Did not work)
2) Graphics Driver Updated, rolled back multiple times (Did not work)
3) Cleaning my laptop, and changing thermal paste (Did not work)
4) Completely uninstalling and reinstalling gpu drivers using DDU (Did not work)
5) Lowered down my graphics driver version and installed the recommended version from ASUS website (Did not work)
6) Disabling Hardware acceleration (Did not work)
7) Changing power management (Did not work)
😎 Bios update (Already Up To Date)
9) RAM check for 8 hours straight using mentest86 (Did not find any issues)
10) Full OS installation (Did not work)
11) SFC scan (Did not find any issues)
12) DISM checks (Did not find any issues)
13) Stressed test my GPU using Furmark (Did not find any issues)
*Note: When I tried Benchmarking with Haven, I got the same crash.
14) Checked my temperatures of both my CPU and GPU for throttling (Below throttling threshold)
15) Checked my game files (Did not find any issues)
16) Under volting, underclocking my GPU using MSI Aferburner (Did not work)
17) Created a backup of my registry, and created a DWORD (32-bit) value at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers,
named the registry as TdrDelay and set the value to 20, but alas, the error is still there.
**Note: Many website claims, disabling overclock settings solved their problem, but I have not overclocked my CPU or GPU, so it is not an option for me. **
Please ASUS help me sove this problem. I am suffring from this problem for a wile now. I have previously played games like GTA-5 and FarCry-5 with no issues. I dont know what is causing this problem. Please Help

No, I couldn't find any permanent solution to this problem. I am searching the solution for months and tried everything I could, but nothing worked. Now I have started to think, its my graphics card that is broken. However, the solutionss, I have mentioned above, could work for you. Try them. I am giving you some links to the youtube videos, try them first:
1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB2JRcPP9oE&t=2s
2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hdwbiWc6VY&t=106s
I can't pin point the exact cause of this TDR failure, but I hope one of these video might help you, and if you have a warrenty, please go to the repair center, for furthur analysis of this problem. If you find the culprit causing this problem, please let me know.

I have the same problem for a long time, i have almost same specs as you. My cpu is intel i5 12500h. I have tried everything including multiple windows reinstall, removing and replacing ram, running a single ram, using ddu, rolling back bios, updating to latest bios, limiting screen refresh rate etc. Games seems to run fine in integrated graphics; but crashes everytime on RTX 3050 GPU.

Lots of people are having the same issues with Nvidia cards, but Nvidia won't even try to fix the issues. Clearly it's not a hardware problem, because hundreds of people of facing the same problem and posting on different online forums with no permanent solution, whatsoever.

You can try the following for a temporary fixes, but to be very honest, I have tried it, and it didn't worked for me. The solutions I have tried reduced the number of crashes:
Temporary Fix 1: Download MSI after burner, and try undervolting your GPU.
Temporary Fix 2: If undervolting didn't worked, try underclocking. ** Remember: Underclocking too much can cause stability issues. I Iearned it the hard way. My recommendation would be to watch a tutorial before doing it, if you don't know what you are doing, and same goes for undervolting. **
Temporary Fix 3: Go to this location in the registry editor "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers". Create a DWORD registry by right clicking, select new, select DWORD(32-bit) value, and name it "TdrDelay". Now double click on the file and put a integer value under "Value data". I would suggest start from 10, and go your way up from that point. I have set mine to 40. Restart your PC.
** Remember: Please create a backup of your registry before changing anything. Registries are super important for the computers to run properly. If something goes wrong, your entire system might crash. Becareful ! **
Temporary Fix 4: Go to your windows intallation drive (Mine is installed at C drive). Navigate to "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore". Search for a file named "nvlddmkm.sys" file. Copy the file, and paste it in "C:\Windows\System32\drivers". Right click on the file you just pasted and go to "Properties". Select "Security" tab from above, and change the permission and give "Full Control". Restart your PC.
**Warning: Donot download this file from any other websites. The file might contain viruses. Be careful ! **
These are some temporary fixes that many people claimed worked, but it didn't for me. But I hope they work for you. And don't try these fixes all at once. If one didn't worked, try other one.
One more thing, I have randomly found this on the youtube comments. I am sharing the screen shot with you, you can also try this one too.

Another, most pupular, fix you can try is editing power plan.
Search for "Edit Power Plan" in windows search box. Open it and select "Change Advanced Power Settings". A new window will open. Expand "PCI Express", then expand "Link State Power Management". Select "Off" for both "On battery" and "Plugged In". Restart your PC.

So i did a clean windows installation, i already had a usb drive with windows 11 64 bit setup. This time i created a folder named "drivers" in my mobile phone. Then downloaded every driver including gpu and chipset drivers from my laptop manufacturer website which is asus. I did this with providing my laptop serial number in the website so that i get correct drivers for my laptop. Then when doing WINDOWS INSTALLATION, I chose not to connect to internet and bypassed the process. Then after windows installation i connected my phone to laptop using usb cable. After that i installed every driver 1 by 1 which i previously stored in my phone. Then before connecting to internet i disabled automatic driver updates from "System properties > Hardware > Device installation settings" and paused windows updates. Then i installed the game i played and crashed when i first raised this complaint to nvidia. I played for more than a hour, no issues till now. Will check again without changing any settings or installing any other programs.
