Q536FD-BI7T15 Text on certain apps super small

Hi! I have been running into issues with certain apps on my Asus laptop from day 1. I noticed that certain text in certain apps is very small.

When I got the laptop, it was running Windows 10 and now I am running Windows 11 - same issue persists.

I have scaling set to 250% (recommended) and while increasing this number helps, it does make everything else super large. I also tried running apps as Administrator and running the program in Compatibility mode (Windows 7) but that did nothing.

Some of the apps where I experienced these issues are CCleaner, Malwerebytes and Quickbooks (click links below for screenshots). For reference, I tried all these apps on my stationary PC that's running Windows 7 with default settings with no issues.

I have ASUS Q536FD-BI7T15 laptop.

Please help as I have no idea on what the issue is and it's making some apps very hard to use while the laptop is relatively new.

Hi deiviuxs,

Being your screen is 4k resolution, it's natural things will look smaller.

Try setting the screen resolution to 2560 x 1440 or 1920 x 1080.

I tried lowering the resolution, but that did not help. Text is still extremely small. This is really annoying as it's making some apps unusable.

I have a feeling that this is an issue caused by the laptop's hardware or maybe software, but I am leaning towards hardware because I am not experiencing these issues on my PC.

Here's how Quickbooks looks on the laptop at 1920x1080 resolution (Windows 11):

And here's how Quickbooks looks on my PC at the same resolution (Windows 7):

Any suggestions?

The only way I know to make things larger is with Scale or Display Resolution

92377

For web pages I use zoom.

I tried adjusting scale and resolution, but it wasn't much of a help. Something is off either with hardware or software as I am not experiencing the same issues on other laptops/PCs.
