No WIFI and trouble restarting from resting state

Helloo,

i'm really exhausted by this issue and close to desparation.

First some info about my laptop:

ASUS TUF Gaming A17 FA706IH.323

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H

Wifi: Realtek 8822CE Wireless Lan 802.11ac PCI-E NIC

Windows 11 Pro 64 bit

Wifi Problem:

It can happen all of a sudden that WIFI begins to have trouble and can find conncections but cant connect anymore. Turning WIFI off and on leads to "no networks available". Restarting the Laptop can lead to wifi completley disappearing from the laptop. No more Wifi icon, no more wifi adapters in device manager or in network connections. Another way this problem gets initiated seems to be when i move the laptop from the kitchen table to a desk in another room.

Im trying many of the suggested solutions as e.g. mentioned in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVm6GBw-paM

Some things worked in the beginning but the problem kept occuring and eventually the solutions didnt help. It became a gamble if i have WIFI or not.

So i deleted windows completley and reinstalled it fresh. But the issue keeps occurring. At the moment it helps to reinstall the Driver. But the problem keeps coming back.

I read in this forum that the WIFI-chip might be the problem. Could this be the issue? Can i change it for e.g. an intel Chip and which one does it have to be?

Or is it maybe something else and connected to the other problem?

2. Problem: Restarting Windows from resting state:

It takes very long until the laptop starts again. Sometimes it restarts automatically and sometimes i get a bluescreen and afterwards the laptop starts again.

Also i noticed that when external devices like optical mouse, flash drives or hdmi cable are attached the laptop has trouble restarting.

(This also seems to be a problem when the laptop has been turned off for some time and i start it.)

Rellay hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance!:)

Hi there! I own ASUS TUF GAMING F15 (FX506LI) which has I5-10300H, MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT9721 Wireless LAN Card pre-installed and runs Windows 11 Pro. I have the exact same problem as you faced for 2-3 days.

I usually play DotA 2 and some music plays on Spotify without any issues, but, for some reason, wi-fi drops randomly and sometimes even wi-fi icon disappears until i restart the system. Also, i noticed that whenever the connection drops, stutters happens like CPU speed drops to 0.1 GHz or something. I hope they'll fix this ASAP because i even can't work online with this situation.

hey,

good to know im not alone with this problem.

yes youre right its really unreliable and working online seems impossible.

hope for the same but idk if there will be a fixture. If you find a way to solve that issue for good please let me know!

I’ve tried everything published online, like press and hold the power button for 60 secs, didn’t work. So, I recently changed the WiFi adapter with an Intel Wireless AC 7265 and it seems working just fine.

I am (ASUS TUF A15 2022 ) also having the same wifi issue it works for few minutes and then it disappears i tried resetting network, reinstalling wifi driver and even re installed window without removing data but things still remains the same. Someone please let me about if u find any solution. Right now for internet i am using Wired Lan connection. But this issue started after the windows 23H2 update.

i am also at the point to change the wifi adapter..
how do you know which one is suitable?
been looking around and the intel ac7265 is almost impossible to get here.

I actually gave my PC to a repairman in my country who does modify internals such as SSDs, RAM Modules etc. He said that, and also i checked if whatever he said was true, the Wi-Fi module we have is using M.2 port under SSD slot. Changing with another module with M.2 adapter, like Intel 7265 does have, will compatible just fine. I only can recommend you to take a look at adapters which have M.2 connectors.

hi,

You can also replace it with an Intel AX201 or Intel AX210 wifi card. 😉

Thanks mate, i also figured it might be the best option to visit a local repairman. And keep in mind that the adapter has m2 connector.

Read online that the asus tuf series doesnt accept intel but with your information i also learned something else.
