I have an ASUS TUF F15 FX507ZI4 that I got from best buy as an open box. This is the second charger I've had do this. I was watching NCIS with Realm Grinder open in the background (Uses up at most 4% CPU and less than 100mb of ram). I plugged in the laptop because the battery was getting low and made lunch. I sat back down and noticed the charger was hot as hell. I unplugged it and the connection was literally too hot to touch. Pictures are kinda low quality because of the zoom but you can see some metal near the tip is just gone. I don't know how it happened but I know it wasn't like that before it got hot. I don't want to buy another charger just for this to happen a 3rd time, so if anyone can help me stop this from happening again it would be greatly appreciated.
