Keyboard stopped working after restart.

literally using on screen keyboard to type this. it randomly fully stopped working and restarting doesn't do anything . wonderful

Try doing a hardware reset before declaring it dead. Maybe this will work.

Turn off your laptop.
Press the power on button for 40 seconds.
Release the button.
