K53E upgrade advice

I've got a K53E-BBR4 and as you all know, ASUS will not help with upgrades. I want to take out my Realtek RTL8188CE wireless n LAN and replace it with an ac LAN. Is this possible in the K53E? And if so, what do you suggest.

If it's laptop then you can't be upgrade, because it's fixed on the motherboard and related embedded chio is soldered on MB

The card is not soldered in and can be taken out. it is an AzureWave AW-NE139H. I replaced it with an AzureWave AW-CB161H. No go. On install I get the message it can not work with my OS which is Windows 7. Strange, but the NE139H is showing up in device manager as an Atheros AW8151. Even stranger, Asus told me that this laptp does not have Win 7 installed, even though the sticker says so.
