Hi everyone,
I have an ASUS ROG STRIX G713Q. For some stupid reason I probably mistyped the BIOS password initially - I noticed that the keyboard was a bit different from the keyboards I was used to. I tried all variations of my few passwords and nothing is working. After 3 incorrect password attempts it locks and I need to restart before I can try again - I have done this at least 50 times.
To make things worse, I added the BIOS password 2 days after I purchased the laptop - even with the warranty they wanted to charge me for a new motherboard - at the time I wasn't going to pay 750 usd. I am hoping that with time some new technique or app will become available and help me to avoid spending more money on this laptop.
I am at a point where I now need that BIOS password in order for some updates to install.
The laptop was purchased in November 2021 (brand new)
Any advice?

I have the same issue and its not that I forgot the password, I swear that special characters were allowed when I entered the password but now they aren't. And it doesnt really stop you from using the laptop , its really just a minor pain in the ass because now I cant setup RAID storage.

Try to avoid special characters in your password or entering TAB instead. It has just saved me. Have been struggling with it for half a year!
