FX507VV expected release date?

Hey y'all, I am looking to buy a new laptop for work and traveling, and have a particular love for TUF products.

I was looking at the 2022 F15 with a 3050, i7-12650H, and a WQHD screen. This more or less meets my preferences, mainly with the 1440p screen (my primary preference), though I am disappointed in the 3050's benchmarks compared to my current laptop's 2060.

However, I have noticed ASUS now has a page for their upcoming 2023 FX507VV that boats a 4060, i7-13900H, and also a WQHD. Unfortunately, they don't have a release date or any way to buy it. Only other place I can find it is on BestBuy for the FHD version listed as upcoming, no release date.

From what I can tell, the previous laptop came out last year in November, is it most likely this new laptop will come out at the same time this November? Is it worth waiting for that upgrade? Does anyone have an inside scoop or pretty good guess?

Unfortunately, not sure about that, so you may want to try to reach the Canadian ASUS Store to see if they have more information or give you the option to ship to the U.S.

If you check the FAQs, it mentions they don't ship internationally although not sure if the U.S. is considered in the same category.

Had a little trouble finding the FX507VV-DS91-CA on the ASUS Canadian Store, but figured it out and you might also want to consider purchasing from a different Canadian reseller if it sounds any better.

Hi,

I don't work in sales, so you may still want to verify my information when possible, but we don't sell every model in the U.S., so it's not certain that the 2023 FX507VV model will be sold in the U.S. which I don't have more information about.

We sell the FX507VU-ES53 in the U.S., so wondering if the website link you provided is more for this model.

Noticed Best Buy U.S. is listing the FX507ZV-F15.I74060 model if you have any interest in it.

If it matters, the FX507VV-DS91-CA appears to currently be sold in Canada with a U.S. keyboard (some Canadian models may come with bilingual keyboards if you want to watch out for that), but with only an FHD screen.

Anyway, hope this helps some.

Thanks for the quick response!

hmm I guess I could buy Canada version and ship it here, but you're right that there's no QHD version.

Any idea why the website states "up to QHD" but only offers a FHD version? Bit misleading advertising, unless they do intend to release a QHD model later this year.

Good question, but the 'overview' pages are just general specs for the series and not necessarily what will be sold here, so would suggest checking the technical specifications section to get a better idea what is available which doesn't appear to be available yet in the U.S. for this series.

If you weren't aware of it, it looks like many of the pages on the U.S. website are just edited versions (customized?) of the Global website page and you can change the region at the bottom of the page if you ever want to switch, but just be aware that we don't sell everything advertised at the global site in the U.S.

Also, if you are able to check the tech specs page, it can sometimes just list the general model like FX507VV rather than the 'full model' name like FX507VV-DS91-CA which specifies the exact configuration like the screen resolution, cpu speed, memory amount, etc., so suggest always checking the full model name specifications on the reseller's page to be sure of what you will get.

Hope that makes a little more sense.

Okay, that all makes sense, thank you.

Though, since this is the only TUF model with a 4060 in it (there are some 4050 on Amazon in the US, but this is supposed to be an upgrade), do you know if the Asus store allows international purchases? Aka, could I buy on the Asus store under Canada and have it shipped to a US address?
