Hi all, I have a rather frustrating problem with my ASUS TUF F15 (FX506LHB, i5 + GTX 1650, BIOS 311 - newest) and I would be extremely grateful for any assistance.
Around 6–7 months ago, my CPU clock speed just stuck at 0.79 GHz randomly. I did everything possible — set power mode to high performance, updated all drivers, attempted to change settings — but nothing worked. I even brought it to an ASUS service center, but they could not identify anything wrong. Quirklily enough, after some 4 days, the laptop was functioning normally all on its own. It functioned perfectly fine for the next 4–5 months.
Now the problem again resurfaces (CPU is stuck at 0.80 GHz). I have changed thermal paste, washed the fans, reinstalled Windows, and reinstalling all the drivers — none of them works. I noticed that it mostly happens when plugging in the charger, but occasionally when running on battery. When running under normal conditions, the laptop operates just fine until I shut it down.
My charger is in good condition and my power source is reliable, so I don't believe the problem lies there.
Has anyone encountered this issue or fixed it forever? Any help would be much appreciated!
