Charging/Not Charging

My Asus TUF Gaming 17 is only a few months old, and now the charging port is very finicky. Original charger that came with it. Doesn't seem to be overheating. If you move the cable at all, it wont detect, and wont charge. Which, isnt the worst thing, but, it makes the screen flash black and then the notifications telling you if its charging or not. usually several times over and over until the cable is juuuust right. Wouldnt be so bad to leave it and charge it, sure. But if you want to use it and have it plugged in, just looking at it causes all that and causes programs to crash as well.

I think your laptops charging port is broken, you should get it fixed immediately before it gets worse. If the port completely breaks, you might have to change the entire motherboard. And the black screen flashes that you are talking, is because you GPU is continuously getting plugged in and out. See, in gaming laptops, there are modes, like mine has Silent, Turbo and Balanced mode. When the laptop is running on battery, software like Armory Crate detects it and disconnects your GPU, to give a better battery life. When you plug in your power adapter, Armory Crate detects it and turns On your GPU causing the screen to flicker a little bit. It is not something to fear about, but you do need to fix your laptop's charging port.

Yes, I found armory crate was the problem for the Black screen. As far as the charging issues, I replaced the charging cable. Original replacement and it's working great. I think maybe because I had it plugged in constantly or caused the cable to get too hot and ruined it. I'll be more diligent with this one and keep an eye out on the port.

Thank you much ^^
