My laptop Asus Tuf Gaming F17 ( FX777ZE-HX052WS )
The specs are
The laptop runs at 65C - 85C at idle temperature and at peak of 95C under load. Is it normal for the laptop to be running at this temperature during idle?. The room ambient temperature is around 30C. Under 0 load then temperature sometimes touches 85C. I don't know is it normal for Intel i7 to reach this temps?? I saw a reddit post with almost same specs as my laptop but he returned his laptop in a couple of weeks. Should I consider repasting the thermal paste?

Hi
I have almost the same laptop as you (see my signature) with 40-45°C idling in silent mode.
95°C under load is normal. Laptops do not have the space necessary to obtain good cooling.
But 65-85°C at idle is a problem.
If your laptop is warranty, contact Asus support.

Thermal conductive pastes can change their properties quite rapidly.
Even liquid metal reacting with copper heat sinks crystallizes and requires replacement.
