Since day one the laptop works perfectly fine when plugged in, but when it is unplugged the performance is terrible, to the point where there is low fps when navigating windows and reading a pdf file. I firmly believe this is a software issue, since after I reinstalled Windows and used the laptop for about half an hour it worked great unplugged. After that it seemed to install some Asus software and then the lag started again. It should be noted that there are a lot of complaints about this issue on sites such as reddit for this exact model (FX506HC).
