I am going to buy an external monitor for my ASUS TUF F15 2020 which has Intel igpu and GTX 1650 as dgpu. I was informed that the HDMI port is connected to our igpu and the Type-C port is directly connected to dgpu. I just want to double check before i buy the monitor and the weird expensive type-c to hdmi cable that the overall performance will be boosted. I found a way to check in Nvidia control panel but couldnt figure out. Here, it seems like the igpu is connected to the type c port as well. Can someone clear this out?
Also please let me know what cable to use, I think it type c to DP is the one to go with, but im also confused about the freesync monitor and gsync compatibility on it. The monitor is LG 24GN65R (which is AMD FreeSync Compatible)

I think you got mixed up, Nvidia GPU is virtually always connected to the HDMI port and iGPU is typically connected to at least one USB-C port, just like your image shows. All you need is an HDMI cable.
