Hello, I got an ASUS TUF Dash F15 gaming laptop, model number FX517ZE, which came with a white backlit keboard. I found an RGB backlit keyboard for FX517Z, so I would like to know if one: it will be compatible with mine and two: if the RGB will work because I've been told the backlit connection might be different

Normally it wont' be compatible, because of some physical components, including the hinge and screw-hole position, not to mention the circuitry of the keyboard itself can be a big factor. It may work, but it may not fit with the frame of your laptop. I would suggest not to go for an RGB key board if it is not build for your laptop model. If you want an RGB keyboard, buy an external one. Nowadays some gaming keyboards are cheap and affordable.

Hello, thanks for your response. I have already replaced the white backlit keybboard with and RGB one, it used the same connectors and it fit in my chassis. But I am facinng another issue now which is that i can not change the RGB color from armoury crate, the keyboard is lit only with a blueish backlight. I have tried unisntalling and reinnstalling armoury crate, i reset the BIOS, i did an EC reset but it did not work. Do you have any idea how I could get it to work? Like using another software to control the RGB? Also I suspect that it is a driver issue because the olds one was white backlit and this one is RGB but I could not find the drivers

It's possible that the RGB backlit keyboard for the FX517Z may not be fully compatible with your FX517ZE model, especially if the backlit connections differ. I recommend checking with ASUS support or a certified technician to ensure compatibility before making any changes.
