I'm having some weird issues with my laptop as it will not turn on all the time. Both power and caps lock lights will turn on but the laptop will turn itself off shortly after.
The laptop will only turn on when it has been sitting unplugged for about a day but is extremely slow and unusable (Intel XTU says cpu is @ 90°C @ 800MHz) but the heatsink is not even slightly warm) and restarting it or shutting it down will restart the cycle (sometimes a restart works but it can also fail and just shut down).

Asus N551VW
I7-6700HQ
GTX 960M 4gb
I took the laptop apart to try to find the problem, I replaced the thermal paste on the heatsink, I replaced the RAM, tried booting without SSD or wireless card to no avail.
Booting without RAM will cause the battery light to blink green which is normal but it will still turn off after 5-10 seconds.
