Asus F17 no nvidia gpu in device manager

Hi,

I tried to update the gpu driver because the gpu won't work when I launch a game so I uninstalled the driver, and then I tried to install the new driver but it's not recognized anymore.

I tried this tutorial but it won't appear even when selecting show hidden devices.

OK good news, when I restarted the laptop, ARMOURY CRATE asked for an update, I accepted the updated, then asked for a reboot, and when I rebooted I opened the device manager and I found the RTX 3050 🙂

Hello,

Are you able to check for the full model number, should be F17-XXXXX-XXXX.

So how did this problem start, I will assume an older laptop that was working and over time something happened, like games would only run on the CPU graphics?

Then you decided to update the driver and now it's just not detecting the GPU (nvidia?)

If an older laptop this can happen when the GPU stops working, GTX 1060 / GTX 1660...

It's this one:

The gpu didn't work, when I launch GTA and so because of it won't work, then game won't launch it exits after the loading stage.

It's likely failed but if you have not tried the EC reset yet give it a go.

With the laptop off, you press and hold the power button down, keep it down until the lights stop flashing. Use your mobile phone as a timer to help.

If this doesn't help it is likely a dead GPU.

I tried the EC but the laptop didn't flash after 20 or 40 seconds. When remove my finger the laptop continues to launch windows 11.
