The OLED display is one of the key features which sets the ROG Azoth and Azoth Extreme apart from the rest. Some display options include general info such as date and time, music mode which takes the audio output and turns it into gorgeous visuals, detailed hardware info such as frequency, temps, system usage, etc. for tech enthusiasts, KPS which shows animations to represent the keystrokes per second, and in true ROG fashion - the ability to make it your own by uploading custom images and animations.

To customize the Azoth or Azoth Extreme OLED screen, you'll first need to know the panel specs and supported formats which are .jpg, .png, .gif, and .bmp, before uploading your image or animation using Armoury Crate. To save you the trouble of doing lots of trial and error to find the best quality and smoothest animations, here are the important specs you'll need to know.

Image/Animation Specifications

Keyboard Resolution (px) GIF total frames GIF max. fps GIF duration at 25 fps (approx.)
Azoth Extreme 368 x 194 180 25 7 seconds
Azoth 256 x 64 196 25 8 seconds

*AC will provide user with a cropper to fit images to the required resolution, when applicable.

Why cant I do this in the stand alone keyboard app? Why do I have to download armory crate?

I don’t know what you’re babbling about. The armory crate gear app doesn’t allow you to customize the oled screen only the proper armory crate app does. They need to fix this.

You’re on some other nonsense.

Hello,

you soon will be able to use the lightweight Armoury Crate Gear app to customize the OLED screen soon in a future update.

So to recap, i need to download the full blown armory crate for the Azoth to be able to upload the custom image? Do we have a timeline for when it will be available in the azoth utility?

Thanks!

Yes, only Armoury Crate supports Azoth's OLED customization as of now. I cannot guarantee a timeline except that it will soon be implemented in the Armoury Crate Gear app for the Azoth.
