Hi,
I just got a new Zephyrus G16 with ryzen ai 9 hx 370, RTX 4070 and 32gb ram mainly for school and photo editing.
Sometimes i like to play cs2. Today tried matchmaking first time and everything was fine about 10-15 minutes. After that laptop just crashes and rebooted itself couple times. I got back to game and same thing after few minutes.
i had hwmonitor running and occasionally looked into it. CPU temps were around 70-85. I don’t know if it got warmer before crashing but it’s pretty frustrating having this expensive laptop performing like this.
Running performance mode on armoury crate, latest bios, nvidia drivers and everything up to date.
Any advice?

Hello,
Try windowed mode with hardware monitor to the side so you can see whilst playing / when it crashes.
You need to look at all the temperature readings such as CPU, GPU, MEM, Hotspot...
But can you post a few screenshots now so we can see the idle temps / sensors you have?
And when it crashes, the next time you play does it crash a lot quicker?

Thanks for your advice. I will do this tomorrow with better time. And also upload some screenshots.

Hi,
So i tried again with hwmointor on in a another monitor. Strange things happen, now i had really good temperatures all the time and finished my game with no problems. Only thing changed this time i didn´t have discord on and wasn´t using usb-c-ethernet adapter.
Here still some screenshots both idle and gaming.
idle1
idle2
idle3

open armory crate look for "Operating Mode" set it to "Windows" .. also in devices > GPU Performance Set it to "Windows" mode... let windows handle performance of CPU GPU and Battery.. It Worked for me.. Any GPU Intensive game would crash my G15..but just changing this setting and crashes gone..

Thanks! If it still occurs i will try this.

Your temperatures look good.
What USB-C ethernet adapter is it? Maybe it's causing a power related issue or just faulty?

Yeah those temps are good. It’s a Bluecloud adapter.

And with this connected which temperatures were higher / by how much?
