I just bought a Zephyrus g16 2023 specs as following.
Intel I7 13620H
16gb ram
Rtx 4060 gddr6 8gb
But I am experiencing some pretty major frame drops in some games IE: Need For Speed Unbound which this laptop should be able to run pretty decently. I have monitored my temps and usage and nothing is really alarming but I’m also not the most computer savvy person, these frame drops happen almost immediately once the game is running, it will sit comfortably at 160fps than drop to 30-40 every few minutes I also noticed I can force it to happen simply by opening the in game menu and leaving it, this is making the game almost unplayable I’ve tried some methods I’ve read like turning off the cpu boost in power settings, changing PL1 and PL2 in Armour crate moving it down and nothing. Ive updated all my drivers if it helps my cpu (since turning cpu boost off) hasn’t reached higher than 60 degrees and you hasn’t went above 75 degrees any help will be much appreciated

Does this happen in any other games?
When the framedrop happens, what's your CPU, GPU, and ram usage like?
I did a quick search online and it seems NFS Unbound has some issues with stuttering and/or memory leaks (people experiencing really high CPU and ram usage)

If you have Armoury Crate open while you are playing, that can cause stutters. Suggest closing it and trying to play then, see if there is an improvement.

Thanks for the response I figured out the issue, having cpu boost on was causing the issue I turned boost off and it worked great solid 160+ frames
