Mdel: Zephyrus Duo 16 2023
Specs:
GPU: RTX 4090, CPU: Ryzen 9 7945HX, RAM: 64 gigs
Randomly overnight, my Zephyrus was no longer detecting my GPU and using integrated graphics and the resolution was all messed up. I ran a graphics driver update and that seemed to solve the issue of the GPU not being detected.
After this being solved, the second monitor refused to work correctly. It appears to have a dim brightness to it, and weirdly reacts to touching it (the cursor will be hidden as if it's detecting the touch input). I went to ASUS support and it seems they don't even have a clue that their product line has a laptop with two monitors and were no help.
I have tried:
* Updating everything in MyASUS
* Updating everything in Armoury Crate
* Updating all tools in Microsoft Store
* Resetting BIOS to defaults
* Running the Screen Optimizer (Which I get an error 0x0000048
* Running ScreenXPert
* Toggling the screen on and off with the keyboard button
* Checking for updates for CPU drivers
ASUS support is instructing me to factory reset the PC which I really want to avoid doing if it's a simple software / update fix. Clearly the hardware is working. Also, my warranty ends in two and a half weeks, so I'd like to get this squared away in case I need to send it out for warranty coverage (which would be the second time in a year after having them replace a broken keyboard controller). At this point, after having to have factory reset 5 times in the past year because of similair issues, I'm thinking if I can't fix it I will just cut my losses and move onto another manufacturer because it's infuriating that I will have to redownload terrabytes of files and hundreds of applications again just to get the thing to work right.
It's quite ridiculous the issues I have had to deal with for a $5,000 laptop.
