I've been stumped by a Wi-Fi issue. My 2.4Ghz home network works fine, but the 5Ghz network fails often, especially when I am working and have the laptop hooked up to a monitor and other external peripherals and the lid is almost closed.

Is there a fix available to keep the lid almost closed or fully closed and still be able to use Wi-Fi 5Ghz?
How can ASUS deliver such a machine with this issue?
