VG248QE power on/off loop after inactivity on my GM501GS

Hi all,

This is my first time posting and I will try to be as thorough as possible.

I have an Asus monitor (VG248QE) connected through display port to the USB-C port of my GM501-GS, with an upgraded Windows 10 Pro.

I am facing a weird issue and would highly appreciate help. Whenever my laptop switches off the display (set from Power Options on Windows), my monitor switches off too, but then, the monitor would keep switching off and on and shows (DISPLAY PORT SIGNAL NOT FOUND/LOST) infinitely. It is distracting and annoying when I am not using it and I feel that it is decreasing the life span of the monitor when it keeps being "pinged" from the laptop.

The monitor is connected via a Display Port cable to the TB USB-C port on my laptop.

Has anyone encountered this? Were you able to find a solution?

I am on Geforce 445.75 (23/03/2020) / Windows 10 Pro v. 1903 (Build: 18362.418)

Here's a video that shows the issue.
