I am running on the ROG Zephyrus G15 GA502 with 16G of RAM. I thought it was time to see the allurement of the games that my plays, so this unit seemed to work for my needs. The first thing that I did was update my NVIDIA driver to the latest (496.49) and have tried various configs which seems to work until it doesn't work. When I try to make configuration changes to the 1660, I find that I can no longer make use of my preferred browser, Brave. I have tried to add exception with Windows graphic settings, but no joy.
The other issue that I having is despite cooling underneath the laptop, when I am playing a game like Skyrim with many mods, the laptop will go to sleep. When I wake the machine, the screen is black, but the game is still playing (I can hear the music and sound effect), and at this point, I have to reboot the machine. Has anyone had these issues? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
