Runtime D3 unsupported on Linux, overheating. Asus Zephyrus GA502DU

On any Linux distro on my Asus Zephyrus GA502DU with a 1660 TI and Ryzen 7 3750H the GPU never powers down like it does in Windows, and always stays at a higher power level like P8, consuming 7W.  This can be seen when running this command:

When attempting to force Runtime D3 like other users did (https://www.reddit.com/r/Fedora/comments/1irhbus/enabling_d3_power_management_in_hybrid_laptops/)
Runtime D3 status switches from Disabled by Default, to Not Supported.
Considering all of Asus Laptop's other ACPI bugs and errors, I would guess that Runtime D3 does not work on my laptop due to some issue in the Bios or ACPI.
