Hey everyone ! I have an ROG Zephyrus G14, which I bought at 2019? 2020? I can’t really remember and I don’t really know how to check either. I recently bought a monitor and I realise that my laptop sometimes does not share screen to the second monitor.
I made sure that the problem is from the laptop because I tried connecting the external monitor to my iPad and it always works. Also, everytime I connect the second monitor, it always shows in the Display Settings that there are two monitors (the laptop monitor and the external monitor)
Solutions I have tried:
- Updating my drivers (NVIDIA)
- Reinstalling both graphic drivers
- Using an HDMI to type C adapter on both sides
- Force shut-downing the laptop:
- Charger and HDMI cable in -> Press and hold power button 30 seconds -> Turn on
- Charger and HDMI not in -> Press and hold power button 30 seconds -> Turn on (sometimes works)
- Charger and HDMI not in -> Press and hold power button 30 seconds -> Plug charger and HDMI cables -> Turn on
- If it works, I made sure to leave my laptop in Hibernation, not sleep
