Hey guys so my laptop will keep freezing after X amount of time being turned on. Sometimes its 5 minutes, sometimes its an hour. And 5% of the time it wont freeze up for hours. This is becoming a huge problem. I haven't even had it a week. I got it 11/9/2016 just like 5 days ago. Its been happening before I even started like installing anything too. So its been like this since the beggining. Please anyone help, I've contacted customer support who told me to:
SFC scan
I would recommend scanning the operating system for any problematic and corrupted files. This can be done by using the SFC feature of the Command Prompt. SFC stands for System File Checker and will attempt to repair windows system files if needed. After the scan, please restart the unit to see if the problem is still noticed.
Step 1: Please press the WINDOWS key and the X key.
Step 2: Please select the Command Prompt (Admin).
Step 3: Please type the command sfc/scannow and press ENTER key.
After the scan, please restart the unit to see if the problem is still noticed.
And that didn't work. Anyone have a clue? or the same problem?
