I waited and was excited about the GA605WI. Ordered it the first day I could on Best Buy. But this laptop has continued to frustrate me. I don't use it for gaming mainly for business use (browsing, excel, light photoshop\lightroom use).
Often when coming out of sleep mode the mediatek7925 wifi adapter won't connect to my wifi (I have the $1500 orbi 960 network and the most recent wifi driver for the laptop and firmware drivers for orbi).
When using chrome as my browser often if I scroll down on the page a large part of the page freezes and you can see around the edges it looks like the page is scrolling behind the frozen part of the page. It eventually refreshes and acts right but it does this pretty often and it is super annoying.
Lastly sometimes when I come out of sleep mode the computer acts like it is at 100% cpu and it is really at like 13% and I don't have many apps running. Mouse movement does that delayed slow movement. When it happens I end up rebooting.
For a $2k+ laptop I am very disappointed. I have a degree in Computer Engineering and have been in the industry since the 90s so its not user error it is a borked product.
